Blake J. Wheeler passed away at age 62 from heart disease on November 17th 2021 in Sun City, Arizona. Born November 1st, 1959 to William and Betty Wheeler, Blake spent most of his childhood growing up in Hawaii and the Seattle area. After high school, he started at Boeing, where he worked for 40 years, until retiring in 2018. After retirement, he enjoyed spending the winters in Arizona.

In 1984, he married Judy Joslin, and they had one son, Jesse, born 1985. After their separation in 1995, Blake began dating Marlys Kotrba, who he was with until his death. He had one grandchild, Emma, born 2007. 

Inheriting his father’s love for flying, in the 1980s, he held a private pilot’s license. Blake was an avid reader, loved the Seahawks, and playing Golf. 

He is survived by his son, Jesse (wife Paige), his granddaughter Emma, his partner Marlys, Jesse’s mother Judy, his siblings, Doug, Rick, Debbie, Tim, Brett and their families, and numerous friends and other family, all of whom love and miss him dearly. He was cremated at Regency Mortuary in Arizona, and his remains will stay with his family. 

There will be a memorial service in early 2022.
