He lost his battle with cancer and got promoted to Heaven on March 8, 2022 surrounded by family. Carrying out dad’s final wishes, he wanted to be cremated and taken back home to Hawai’i. We have not yet finalized those details. We know he is not suffering anymore and is in Heaven with his mom, dad and sister Suzette. We love you SO much dad, and miss you more than we could have ever imagined!!

Aloha Family and Friends,
We will be bringing my father, Peter Paul Guzman, home in July to gather and share memories as we celebrate his life.
Our family has decided to hold a few gatherings so that we can honor him on both O’ahu Island, as well as having a church service on Hawai’i Island, and finally spreading his ashes in the ocean as one of his last requests.
O’ahu Island - Sunday, July 3rd
Pearl Harbor, HI - Rainbow Bay Pavillions @10:00am
*Arizona Memorial Drive, Honolulu, HI 96818
Luncheon to follow
Hawai’i Island - Saturday, July 9th
Honoka’a, HI - Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church
*45-5028 Plumeria St, Honoka'a, HI 96727
Visitation @ 8:30am
Eulogy and Mass @ 9:30am
Luncheon to follow
Hawai’i Island - Sunday, July 10th
Kawaihae, HI - Kawaihae Harbor in the morning
If you knew my dad, he was easy-going, loved a good time and always wanted to joke around to make people smile. We want these times to be about gathering and connecting as we laugh, cry, and share memories of our times with him when he was full of life.
Our ‘Ohana is so grateful to be able to bring dad home and carry out his last wishes. Mahalo to those of you who reached out to check in on us; sending gifts of flowers, food, and condolences as we try to navigate through this tough time together. I know dad will be there watching over us as we share in his memory together.

In the summer of '73, my family moved to Aliamanu and as the movers were unpacking our stuff, a neighbor boy rode by on his bike and asked me if I had a bike. It was Peter. My bike had already been unloaded from the truck so off we went. He introduced me to his family and to my neighbors across the street, Raynette and Darnette Maulson, and lifelong friendhships were born. Peter and Raynette married and had children and grandchildren and were living in Oregon at the time of his passing. I will miss your dry humor Peter. Rest in Peace.

Raynette, my best friend in high school. It's been many years. Our high school days are heartfelt memories that are never forgotten. You and Peter were a couple in secret and a couple of everlasting love. Life took us our own ways, I'm in Ohio.Blessings to you and your family.Keep strong and your memories in your heart.
